This week has been very cooperative in terms of weather. The temperature stayed cool mostly throughout the week. As the days are getting longer, the sun is still up even after my long days at work. So it was nice to have a cooler temperature to run. And because this past weekend was another long run weekend, part of me was a bit anxious about it, so I mostly focused on endurance building throughout the week leading up to it. Read More…

Never Forget to Pace Yourself!

I totally messed up today’s tracking on my Garmin watch by pressing the wrong button after waiting at the light, so it didn’t record a couple of miles till I realized that and resumed it for the mile and half or so. Thus, I’ve decided to use the data recorded on my MapMyRun app. It’s not as accurate as the data recorded with the Garmin, but it gives an idea as to what I’d like to briefly talk about on this post.

Easy 7 mile run and Energy Gels

Today’s run was an easy 7 mile run, and I seriously tried not to run fast.

Especially now that I know that I need to run a lot faster, it is very critical to utilize any possible means to improve my running. I came across Marathon Pace Calculator at WalkJogRun.net, and when I input the last 14 miler results, it predicted my finish time for the marathon distance to be 3:41:30 at the pace of 8:27 per mile.
